Cephalosporin’s are β-Lactam antibiotics and bactericidal.
Sulbactam is a β-lactamase inhibitor. This drug is given in combination with β-lactam antibiotics to inhibit β-lactamase, an enzyme produced by bacteria that destroy the antibiotics.
